Skechers – In a galaxy far, far away!

“When it comes to iconic properties, there’s nothing in the entertainment world bigger than ‘Star Wars,’ ” said Michael Greenberg, Skechers’ president. That is why it is no surprise that with the launch of the new co-branded “Star Wars” collection Image Options creative arm, Refraction Group, was asked to bring the icon to a Skechers retail window display near you.

Starting with their flagship location in Torrance, CA at Del Amo Fashion Center, Refraction Group created a 9 foot dimensional Death Star with working lights that is definitely out of this world. The team worked feverishly for long long hours getting this iconic window perfect for the installation team to install overnight. The final window included the Millennium Falcon, Tie Fighters and the X-Wing along with floating “Star Wars’ collection shoes to complete the saga.

See below for final window installation and a glimpse into the creative process.

Mikoh Swimwear Photo Shoot

Mikoh women’s swimwear company, recently stopped by the Refraction Group Photo Studio to shoot some of their Spring/Summer 2016 new designs.

Mikoh is a collaboration of Oleema and Kalani Miller which is a line of swimwear for the modern woman inspired by a life spent in bikinis and oceans around the world.

The Refraction Group Photo Studio and Mikoh have been working together for the past 2 years capturing images for their web store, look book and PR purposes.  The swimwear is  captured to best show the detail and quality of the swimwear that separates Mikoh from their competitors. Each piece has to be carefully prepared before it’s styled on set. A lot more effort goes into a single piece of swimmer than you might expect.

“Working with Jeff at Image Options, Refraction Photo Studio, has been a pleasure. The results from the work we created has allowed our company to progress in various ways. Our website now has a completely updated look, and we have received more press because of the flat lays we shoot. We have also worked on studio shots where the model was presented in every one of our styles, which we then display on our website. This has allowed…
